MethodCraft Company History

MethodCraft Software was founded in 1995 by Terry Joyce, a software developer specializing in object-oriented applications for Global 2000 financial customers.

In 1999, Terry joined Epicentric, a web infrastructure software company founded to create industry's first Portal Server product. Beginning as the second developer at Epicentric, Terry became their first VP of Engineering, heading the development organization through the product’s first three major versions. He then moved into a customer-facing technical role, as the company’s first VP of Customer Service.

Terry worked on Epicentric's executive management team, which included founders Ed Anuff and Oliver Muoto and CEO Michael Crosno. Epicentric grew to approximately 35 million in yearly revenues, with Global 2000 customers including ABN Amro, Bank of America, Citibank, Daimler-Chrysler, Disney, Hewitt, Hewlett-Packard, JP Morgan, McKesson, Morgan Stanley, Motorola, Quaker, Sainsbury, SBC, Verizon and Vodafone, to name just a few.

In December of 2002, Epicentric was acquired by Vignette, Inc. After working with Vignette to assure a smooth transition, Terry left to return to software consulting.

MethodCraft is available for the implementation of technologies essential to the modern, networked enterprise: Java, J2EE, Web Services, and web infrastructure applications.
